Three officers from the Kosovo Police have been suspended for 72 hours due to their lack of response during an incident in which acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti’s motorcade was hit with eggs during a visit to Skenderaj.
Kurti was in Skenderaj to inaugurate a new nursery, when unidentified individuals threw eggs at his convoy.
The Kosovo Police announced on Tuesday afternoon that three officers were suspended in connection with the “disturbance of public order and peace” during Kurti’s visit.
“Further investigations into the police officers for potential misconduct will be carried out by the relevant competent institutions,” the police statement read.
