The chairman of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and advisor to Aleksandar Vučić on regional affairs, Miloš Vučević, said that Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, is “brandishing weapons once again” and trying to escalate conflict and set the Western Balkans region on fire.

Reacting to Kurti’s statement on cooperation between the Kosovo Security Force and the Albanian Army, Vučević stressed that “the forging of military alliances directed against Serbia recalls what was done in the 1990s,” adding that “when everything is viewed from a historical perspective, it is clear what is being prepared and that it is being done against the Serbian people.”

“And Albin Kurti is at the forefront of such a genocidal policy against the Serbian people, and he does not hide this, but boasts about it. The military alliance of the Kosovo Security Force and the Armed Forces of Albania, whose creation Kurti is now announcing, is nothing but a new direct threat to Serbia and the Serbian people, and Kurti’s next step toward forming a so-called ‘Greater Albania,’” Vučević declared on the X network.

He added that the international community is once again silent, while in front of its eyes and ears Kurti announces a new war group, during which time “the authorities in Pristina are severely undermining UN Security Council Resolution 1244, according to which KFOR is the only authorized military formation in the territory of Kosovo.”
