Fourteen citizens lost the battle to COVID-19 over the last 24 hours, health authorities confirmed.

So far, over 119.000 have tested positive for coronavirus, an additional 590 more from yesterday.

The official death toll is 2.106, according to a tally kept by the Ministry of Health.

The Ministry also informed that the victims ranged from the age of 57 to 84.

At the moment, there are 406 patients receiving specialized medical care at the COVID dedicated hospitals in the country, of which 31 in intensive therapy wards.

Albania is continuing its vaccine rollout and has administered 36.323 jabs, mainly to medical and education personnel, as well as the elderly.
