Albania recorded 16 deaths from COVID-19 over the last day, taking the official death toll to 2,122.
Also, 494 were diagnosed with the virus in the last day. The total case count in the country is estimated at over 120.000 cases.
The Ministry of Health said that the victims ranged from the age of 54 to 87.
The number of hospitalizations is currently at 390, with 33 patients in the ICU.
Authorities also confirmed that 690 patients have recovered in the last day. From the beginning of the outbreak, nearly 84.000 citizens have won the battle against the virus.
On Friday, 4998 doses were administered, while the rollout is at 41.321 vaccinations mainly injected to health and education personnel, and elderly citizens.
