Massive vaccination starts today in ‘Skanderbeg square’, Goal: 1000 vaccines per day

Starting from today, the massive vaccination process will commence in Tirana to continue soon after, across the entire country. Several tents were raised at the ‘Skanderbeg square’ in the city center, which will serve as vaccination sites. The process will continue according to the national vaccination plan, starting with age-group 85+ and 80+ and continuing with 75+ and 70+. To this day, 64.075 vaccines have been administered in Albania, including the elderly, medical professionals and teaching personnel.

Euronews Albania’s journalist, Ardit Hoxha reported from ‘Skanderbeg square’ today that the elderly, ages 75+ were gathered today in order to register and become part of the vaccination process.

“There are currently 10 vaccination sites, where according to the objectives announced by the government, 800-1000 people will be expected to get their vaccine each day. The medical staff is also being helped by the army in order to ensure the execution of the entire process. We have also found out that the vaccination will be conducted through the Chinese ‘Sinovac’ vaccine, 190 thousand doses of which, arrived in Albania 2 days ago,” reported from the ground, Euronews Albania’s journalist.
