In the most recent move, the Serbian List (Srpska Lista) has decided to take the newly formed government of Prime Minister Albin Kurti to the Constitutional Court over claims about the number of ministers.
In a status on Facebook, the Serbian List said it filed a complaint on behalf of MP from its own party, as well as from the Unique Gorani Party.
Referring to the Constitution, the party is claiming two ministries.
“The appeal disputes the decision of the Assembly on the choice of the Government in Pristina from March 22., 2021. in which Serbian people were given to the administration only one ministry even though according to the Constitution it was obligated to assign two”.
According to the Serbian minority political party, the number of ministries is not about the post only, but also as a mean which improves their life.
The party said it “expects” the highest constitutional authority to decide in conform to the laws.
The move had been warned by MPs of the party since March 22 when the second Kurti government came to power.
