Over the last 24 hours, 11 citizens succumbed to COVID-19 taking the official toll in the country to 2,227.

During this same time, 304 patients were diagnosed with the virus while the country counts more than 124,700 positive cases.

The Ministry of Health confirmed that the victims were from the age of 51 to 83.

Health authorities reported 593 recoveries in the last day, while 293 patients are being treated in hospitals.

Through a simple calculation from the official data provided, it results that fewer than 1% of active cases require hospital treatment.

72% of citizens that have been diagnosed with the virus have recovered, while 25.6% remain active cases.
