If the parliamentary elections were to be held next Sunday, the fourth survey poll conducted by Euronews Albania in collaboration with MRB shows the Socialist Party getting 53% of the votes in Fier.

The Democratic Party would be getting 27.8% of the votes, while the Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI) would get 3.7%. The voters that remain are divided 5% for other parties, 5.6% won’t vote, 4.2% are undecided whereas 0.7% refused to respond.

In the district county of Fier, the difference in votes between SP and DP is 25.2% whereas the undecided electorate still represents 10.5% of all voters. Compared to the results of the last nation poll, SP sees a rise of about 12%, whereas DP sees a 3% decline. SMI also sees a decline, as compared to its projection on a national level, which is 7.6%, it looks like its support in Fier would be 3.7%.

If the elections would be held this Sunday, the result would be:

  • SP – 53%
  • DP – 27.8%
  • SMI – 3.7%

Compared to the last parliamentary elections back in 2017, where all three main parties raced alone, SP won 57.17% of votes, DP 25.68% and SMI 11.73%.

The analysis of the data from this survey shows that if these elections were to be held this Sunday, SP would get 59.2% of votes, DP 31.1% and SMI 4.1%. Nisma Thurje would get 1.7% and other parties would get a combined result of 3.9%.

Translated to seats in parliament, taking into account that Fier has a total of 16 seats, the SP would be securing a total of 11 mandates, while DP a total of 5.

Division of seats:

  • SP – 11 seats
  • DP – 5 seats

Compared to the division of seats in the last elections, it looks like SP and DP would be taking one mandate each from SMI as the division of seats in the last elections was: SP -10 seats, DP -4 seats and SMI -2 seats.

Methodology
870 citizens were interviewed, of which 415 in Elbasan and 455 in Fier. Face-to-face interviews were conducted in urban and rural areas during the period March 19-March 28.
