According to the fourth national survey, when it comes to the district of Elbasan, 46.5% of citizens see Edi Rama as more suitable for the position of Prime Minister, while 40% prefer Basha.

The deputy mayor of Tirana, Arbjan Mazniku, commenting on these results said that the stance of the citizens of Elbasan has “somewhat taken its final form”.

“In these moments the stance of the people in confront to the leaders has been, to some extent, saturated as we’re almost in the midst of the campaign. These are figures that might eventually change by a small fraction, but not what may happen next. These are typically indicators that eventually will gravitate towards the voting of political leaders and likeability for the leader”, said Tirana’s deputy mayor.

Mazniku said that both parties have reached the ceiling in terms of the percentage scored, with the Democratic Party, whose results have improved during the campaign, and the Socialist Party that has reached the maximum of the percentage that it could get to.

“Slow by slow the ceiling has been reached. Basha has improved in terms of the result, but without touching the expectations of Rama, but typically these are the potential ceilings of growth”, concluded Mazniku.
