Political science expert, Adri Nurellari said during the political commentary show ‘Political Barometer’ at Euronews Albania that the electoral strategy of the Socialist Party is linked to the mobilization of the party’s supporters.
“The main objective for SP isn’t to convince the neutral or undecided voters but rather, to mobilize its own supporters to go out and vote. Therefore, the biggest obstacle or question in these elections is whether or not the Socialist Party will be able to make as many socialists as possible vote? This is also the reason why they provoke, through the use of adversary figures that serve for mobilization because the SP really wants to achieve a polarized electorate,” stated Nurellari.
According to him, ensuring the participation of voters as well as making sure that reliable supporters achieve a massive turnout on election day, are the two main challenges for SP in these elections.
Are socialists that discontent that they refuse to come out and vote? – this was the question raised by the political science expert, while reemphasizing that this will be the group of people deciding in these elections, not the undecided.
At the end of his word, Adri Nurellari stated that in this electoral campaign, we haven’t seen a single effort made by Edi Rama to convince the steadfast voters, but in the expert’s words, the prime minister is “grazing in his own meadow as much as he can”.
