The Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti and the presidential candidate Vjosa Osmani decided to withdraw from the Law for General Elections.
The story was confirmed following a meeting with the Speaker of the Assembly Glauk Konjufca.
In a statement released to the press, it was stated that Kurti and Osmani have pledged to Konjufca that “everything pertaining to the law will be subjected to a dialogue” between the ruling party and the opposition.
“After the clear expression of the opposition’s will through their voting in parliament, nothing else remains to be done apart from making sure that the parliamentary majority will not undertake any step without consultation with the opposition, while the latter will not boycott the process for electing the new president, in order to avoid heading to elections”, the statement read.
