Professor of social sciences, Haris Vongli during the panel debate of the live political show ‘Ilva Now’ on Euronews Albania stated that in the past 30 years, Albania has suffered great losses in the arts, culture and history.

“In the last 30 years, Albania has suffered in terms of arts, culture, literature. We speak mostly about politics. We are the ones allowing for the dispersion and demolition of cultural monuments,” she emphasized.

Vongli added that the new alternatives in Albania haven’t been able to make it because they haven’t shown consistency in their principles.

In order to illustrate this logic, the professor pointed out the example of the LVV (Self-determination movement) in Kosovo, which according to her hasn’t made any compromises during its political journey, while staying true to its principles.

“VV has been consistent and hasn’t made any compromises. Parties don’t raise their voice for important causes, but they become allies with those they share the same interests with. We have seen this through the years, as new figures come out and later resign. Everyone becomes part of everything, except for major things. That is why VV prevails, because it has been consistent in becoming part of important causes,” she added.
