During a meeting with the residents of Peqin, the leader of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha announced that once in power, he would pardon all the debt accumulated through the years, of citizens that have been unable to pay their electric bills to the Operator of Electric Energy Distribution (OSHEE).
“In order for change to take place, we need to enforce our economic plan different from those, who are now taking billions of euros from your pockets every day through fines, bills, the highest price for energy in all of Europe, the highest price for gas in the entire world and they distribute all that money back to the oligarchs,” said Basha, while promising that “these funds will be returned to citizens”.
Regarding Peqin, Basha promised, “amnesty since the first day in power, for citizens’ overdue payments to OSHEE”.
