Osmani’s first presidential meeting: ‘Vaccines against COVID-19, our priority’

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani hosted the first coordinative inter-institutional meeting today with the country’s Prime minister Albin Kurti, as well as the Deputy PM and Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Diaspora, Donika Gervalla, the Minister of Defence, Armend Mehaj and the Minister of Health, Arben Vitia.

President Osmani discussed with PM Kurti regarding the need for the foundation of the joint coordinative mechanisms in the areas of foreign politics, security as well as the most prominent urgency at this time, the procurement as soon as possible, of the vaccines against COVID-19.

According to the official statement published by the presidency, Osmani and Kurti agreed on the fact that joined efforts combined with the coordinative specification for these matters will bring forth concrete results.

“President Osmani and PM Kurti agreed on the plan for a regular institutional collaboration between the key institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, aiming to accomplish common goals that are linked to the strengthening of international subjectivity and national security. They also expressed their willingness to continue efforts in addressing the immediate needs of citizens regarding healthcare and economic consequences coming as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic” concluded their communication.
