As the inoculation of pharmacists on a national level started today, in Vlora this process has begun since a week ago now, where pharmacists are being vaccinated including the staff in private clinics and stomatologists. To this day, 70 stomatologists, 11 pharmacists, and 14 private clinic specialists have been vaccinated.
The Chief of Epidemiology in the city of Vlora just confirmed this for Euronews Albania.
“Vlora is part of the objective of the Ministry of Health for the vaccination of doctors including those working in the private sector. In Vlora, we started a bit earlier with this process, as we have considered it a priority and we have vaccinated a considerable contingent,” stated Agron Bashllari, Chief of Epidemiology in the coastal city.
The inoculation of medical and teaching personnel in Vlora is complete, whereas the process is close to an end for police officers. In terms of the general population, at the moment ages over 65 are receiving their vaccine.
“We are close to the end with the process for this age group and we will gradually continue with the other groups of the population. At the moment, we are vaccinating ages 70+ and we will gradually continue with younger age groups,” said Bashllari.
To this day, 19.200 doses of the vaccine have arrived in Vlora and the vaccination process is continuing swiftly, whereas cases of those vaccinated exhibiting any problems with their health, haven’t been identified.
