Abazovic proclaims victory in Ulcinj

The leader of the Civic Movement United Reform Action (URA), Dritan Abazovic, announced that his coalition won by landslide in Ulcinj.

But, according to the results, a post-election coalition will be necessary. The largest coalition, composed of five political parties and led by Abazovic’s URA, received 4,899 votes, translated into 14 mandates at the local council.

Milo Djukanovic’s Democratic Party of Socialists entered the polls in coalition with the Bosniak Party and secured 2,170 ballots and 7 mandates.

The biggest surprise came from another coalition, that of the Democratic Union of Albanians and the Democratic League of Montenegro, who secured 5 mandates.

The Municipal Council of Ulcinj has 33 councilors. While for the formation of the local government 17 councilors are needed to form the majority.
