About Half of Diaspora Votes Counted: Socialist Party Leads Comfortably, Democrats in Second

The counting process for diaspora votes is ongoing, with around 94,896 envelopes counted out of a total of 194,889 — approximately 48.7%. Preliminary results show the Socialist Party with a commanding lead, followed by the Democratic Party in second place and the “Shqipëria Bëhet” (Albania is Becoming) Initiative in third.

Preliminary results of the diaspora vote:

  • Socialist Party of Albania (PS) – 50,814 votes – 54.02%
  • Democratic Party – Alliance for a Great Albania (PD-ASHM) – 26,768 votes – 28.46%
  • Initiative “Albania is Becoming” (NISMA-SHB) – 7,935 votes – 8.44%
  • Opportunity Party (MUNDESIA) – 3,335 votes – 3.55%
  • Together Movement (BASHKË) – 2,467 votes – 2.62%
  • Social Democratic Party (PSD) – 1,101 votes – 1.17%
  • Euro-Atlantic Coalition Party (KEA) – 664 votes – 0.71%
  • Albanian National Alliance Party (AKSH) – 533 votes – 0.57%
  • Right-Wing Coalition for Development (DZH) – 255 votes – 0.27%
  • Homeland Movement (LA) – 146 votes – 0.16%
  • New Democracy Alliance Party (ADR) – 48 votes – 0.05%
