Crowds have gathered for the sixth day in a row in front of the Prime Minister’s Office to protest against increased prices.
Activist Adriatik Lapaj hit back at Prime Minister Edi Rama’s accusations aimed at protest organizers saying they should be ‘ashamed to rally in a time of war’.
According to Rama, the government has not raised electricity prices, although it has happened in other countries.
“My family has shown what it has done in times of war. I am the grandson of one of the families that gave away their wealth to see the Albanian flag raised in Vlora. My family has 5 martyrs. I hereby invite the prime minister to refrain from talking about real wars with me”, Lapaj said.
