The Administrative Court has rejected the request of the Turkish kindergarden “Turgut Ozal” for the suspension of the decision to shut down.
According to the Ministry of Education, the decision to close this enterprise was made on the grounds of a serious violation of its license. The building where the activity was carried out was not equipped with the relevant authorization from the ministry.
The “Turgut Ozal” association is financed by the philanthropic cleric, Fethullah Gulen. The latter is known as the biggest opponent of Turkish President Erdogan and lives in exile in the USA.
He is known for his enmity with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, while the latter blamed him for the coup d’état in 2016.
Erdogan has constantly put pressure on the Albanian government to close his institutions in Albania, while also demanding the extradition of those he describes as “Gülenists”.
