Large numbers of those infected with COVID-19 in our country continue to be reported. In the past 24 hours, 6 citizens have lost their lives due to COVID-19 and 1.905 new cases were confirmed.
Positive cases were confirmed after results came back on 6.757 tests, which also confirmed the successful recovery of 710 others.
There are currently 16.507 actively infected citizens in our country, and more than half are concentrated in Tirana.
The ministry of health has continued its appeals to citizens to get vaccinated as soon as possible, while urging them to stay vigilant and obey all anti-COVID measures.
Each citizen over the age of 16, can get vaccinated in one of the health centers closest to them.
Vaccination is also open to children over the age of 12 who suffer from an autoimmune disease and have a doctor’s recommendation.
At the moment, the world is faced with the greatest wage of COVID infections due to the fast spread of Omicron that has a high transmissibility rate but also due to the large gatherings that took place during the year-end celebrations.
