COVID-19 claimed the lives of five citizens over the course of the last 24 hours, announced the health ministry, while the number of new infections is 508.
A positive indicator was single-day recoveries which exceeded new infections, with 693 people winning the battle against the virus.
Currently, there are 161 patients hospitalized, with 20 of them in critical condition.
According to a tally kept by national health authorities, 2,788 people have succumbed to the virus from the beginning of the pandemic.
The region with the highest active infections remains Tirana, with 3,043 out of 6,682 cases estimated across the country.
