On Monday evening, Albania received a batch of 117,000 Pfizer doses.
On Twitter, health minister Ogerta Manastirliu posted a video showing the vaccines being delivered at Tirana Internation Airport while calling on citizens to get vaccinated in order to “protect themselves as well as the others”.

“2,960,000,000 vaccine doses have arrived so far to push the vaccination drive in order to protect the life and health of our citizens. We’re determined to guarantee free jabs for every citizen, until the end of the pandemic”, wrote the health minister.
According to official figures, 29,84% of the population has been inoculated with both vaccine doses.
