The Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Belinda Balluku ruled out the risks of experiencing power shortages in Albania.
During a meeting with the Energy Committee on Tuesday, Balluku said that families will not be burdened by increased electricity prices.
The Minister of Energy said the state will rent two powerships that will be anchored at the Vlora Triport.
Balluku said that the agreement was finalized with the support of the US Ambassador, in cooperation with the firm that is working on Vlora’s hydropower plant, called Exelerate Power.
The energy minister stated that the situation has been improving, citing data from the Albanian Power Corporation (KESH),
“The levels of the Fierza Lake have been on the rise”, Balluku said.
KESH chief, Ergys Verdho, said that the quota in the Fierza cascade is at 267 meters above sea level.
