Invited to the first episode of Season 3 of the podcast “Flasim” to talk to the Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, were an Albanian-Lebanese couple, who shared their experience and the choice to live in Albania.

They got to know each-other in Ghana, Africa, 13 years ago. Elias Mazloum and Armida Alikaj shared their story and the reasons that led them to decide to live in northern Albania.

“‘The happy couple’”, where you will get to know a marriage ‘behind the sun’, and its warm glow in the northern areas of Albania,” Rama expressed during the presentation.

What united them in Africa, Armida born in Kukës and raised in Vlorë, and Ilias from Lebanon, was their profession as experts in the field of economics.

Meanwhile, in Mozambique, they managed to uncover a corruption scheme of a Swiss company they worked for at the Swiss embassies.

“After this discovery, the Swiss Foreign Ministry contracted with us,” they expressed.

They say they chose to live in Albania for the family, while they also had documents for Canada and New Zealand.

Now they have set up an enterprise to help artisan women in the country.

“We have always focused on women and youth in rural areas,” they told Rama, while they mentioned that in addition to artisanal products, they also offer bio products that Albania can produce.
