In the possible scenario of a conflict between the United States and the EU, the majority of Albanians would choose to side with the EU.

A little over half of all Albanian citizens (56.9%) believe that Albania should side with the EU, whereas around 1/3 (32.6%) said they would side with the US. Only 6% think that in the rare chance of such a conflict, Albania should remain neutral.

Those under the age of 55, are twice as likely to side with the EU. Whereas, older age groups, especially those 65+, seem to have a higher tendency to side with the United States instead.

Data were recorded during a poll led by MRB and Data Centrum from October 20-29, 2021 that included 1.000 face-to-face interviews conducted at a national level.
