“Similar arson attacks and the criminals who commit them will not be tolerated.” This was the statement made by Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti regarding the incident recorded in northern Kosovo over the reciprocity on license plates.
In a Facebook status, Kurti threw the blame at Serbia accusing them of inciting the conflict.
“Unfortunately, in front of the eyes of the international community, Serbia is using the citizens of Kosovo to provoke a serious international conflict”, Kurti wrote.
Kosovo’s prime minister also said that the fire at the Registration Center was intentional.
“Even in Zvecan they threw two grenades, as well as in a similar building for registering vehicles, but fortunately, they didn’t explode. Individuals or groups, to whom the rule of law, public order, and security, endanger their criminal activities, are attacking our state and undermining peace,” he said.
He added that the Police of the Republic of Kosovo is a professional institution that should be respected by all.
“I hereby call on all citizens, especially those in north of Ibri, regardless if they are Serbian, Albanian, Bosnians, or from the Roma community, to be calm and cooperate with the institutions of Kosovo”, he concluded.
