The High Prosecutorial Council (KLP) voted Alfred Balla as its new chairman, after the termination of Gent Ibrahimi’s mandate.
KLP members met on Monday with the General Prosecutor, representatives of the Justice Ministry as well as members of the OPDAT mission in Albania.
Alfred Balla is the only candidate that is not a prosecutor among KLP members and has previously held the deputy chair post.
“I think that I have some features that fulfill the criteria for this position”, Balla said.
Gent Ibrahimi stepped down after three years as his mandate expired.
