Democratic MP Enkelejd Alibeaj said that he stands against the fiscal amnesty, an initiative undertaken by the government that has yet to be approved by Parliament.

In a statement for the press, Alibeaj said that if the fiscal amnesty is eventually approved, Albania will turn into a den of crime.

“After a while, the meeting of the Electoral Reform Commission will begin. This meeting will determine the work calendar of the electoral reform.

Another issue that was discussed is fiscal amnesty. The position of DP’s Parliamentary Group is that fiscal amnesty is unacceptable for the Albanian state, due to the developments, and the great drama caused by a complete lack of order and money laundering. Our position is a stern ‘no’ to the fiscal amnesty, as it makes it possible for Albania to turn into a den of crime,” he said.
