According to the Chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party, Enkelejd Alibeaj, Edi Rama’s level of profanities depends on his “immersion” in illegal affairs.

Alibeaj wrote on Twitter that this is what happens when you “give the Port of Durres up for charity”.

In addition, he also stated that the 2023 budget was treated like a “feast for friends and clients” while describing the prime minister as foul-mouthed, hot-blooded, and incapable of controlling his emotions”.

“His gift to Albanian citizens besides insults and ridicule, were poverty, corruption, inequality, injustice, and massive emigration. This is the bitter truth that Albanians face every day. A reality that propaganda can’t hide, arrogance can’t make easier, and only a major change can and should be able to improve it,” he wrote.

During the plenums where the 2023 state budget was discussed, the language used by the prime minister against the opposition triggered many reactions, with many calling it foul and utterly unacceptable.
