The head of DP’s parliamentary group, Enkelejd Alibeaj, held a meeting today with the ambassador of the United States of America, Yuri Kim, in the Parliamentary Leadership.

In a statement to the press after the meeting, Alibeaj said that both of them had talked about the reforms initiated by DP, including the territorial one.

“The object of the meeting was all those reforms that we initiated in parliament which you have also been following. This first meeting will be followed by others, either in this same format or a different one”, said Alibeaj.

Democratic Party MPs and supporters of Enkelejd Alibeaj, submitted the final draft for the territorial reform to Parliament today. This draft proposes the division of the country into 94 municipalities and into 3 or 6 regions.

Democratic MP Dhurata Cupi, who has submitted this draft on behalf of the other participating democrats, has asked Socialist MPs and other Democratic MPs to approve this draft bill, which according to her is in the interest of all Albanian citizens.
