All Iranian diplomats have left for the Rinas Airport as the embassy premises have been completely emptied by Albanian authorities. There are only a few members of Albanian staff inside the embassy, at the moment.
After the staff’s departure, the anti-terror unit and the anti-explosive unit entered the premises of the Iranian embassy in Tirana.
Prime Minister Edi Rama demanded a day ago that the diplomatic staff of the embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran leave Albania within 24 hours.
In a speech published on social media, Rama declared that the decision of the Council of Ministers comes after confirmation that the Islamic Republic of Iran was behind the July 15 cyber-attack against Albanian government sites.
