The Democratic Party has denounced the Socialist Party for using the portal e-Albania to steal data from its citizens, in this case those of Albanian citizens registered in the portal.
Asked over the matter during a visit to Pogradec, Albanian President Ilir Meta asserted that the “misuse” and “data theft” from the government is an “unacceptable violation” and “preposterous mean to exercise pressure”.
“The time when Albanians are afraid of their government is over,” said the Albanian head of state. “It is now the time that the coming government will be afraid by the people instead”.
Regarding the boycott of air traffic controllers and accusations of PM Rama that President Meta is directly involved, he said that he does not “pay attention to those comments” that only “a madman can make”.
