Kosovo’s Court of Appeals upheld an earlier verdict of a Prishtina court ruling that the soaring energy prices were abusive.
The energy regulating body set a new price to pay for electricity on February 8, affecting users consuming more than 800 kilowatts per month.
But the Democratic Party of Kosovo filed a lawsuit claiming that the new prices are negatively affecting citizens.
Now authorities will have to refund the extra amount paid by citizens on their electricity bills for March and April.
