Around 43,000 citizens migrated from Kosovo in 2021

An estimated 42,728 citizens migrated from Kosovo last year.

The highest migration outflow was recorded in the municipality of Gjilan with 4,320 leaving their home country.

The eight most affected municipalities are: Gjilan, Prizren, Prishtina, Vushtria, Suhareka, Malisheva, Gjakova, and Podujeva, reported KosovaPress.

According to data from the Statistics Agency of Kosovo (ASK), a majority of these migrants held legitimate travel documentation.
