Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, in her capacity as Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, inspected the work site for the construction of the Elbasan-Qafe Thane axis.

In the speech delivered during the inspection, Balluku emphasized that this segment includes the first kilometers of Corridor VIII.

She added that the road will be of category B, with the same standards as the Bypass of Fier and that it is a priority project for the government.

“This segment is the first swallow of Corridor VIII. Despite the fact that it is the first 5 km, it is important that the work here goes properly. Meanwhile, we are working on the Elbasan by-pass, which is very important and a priority for us. On the other hand, we will build the second segment of this corridor. The road is category B, to clarify to the citizens, it is similar and with the same parameters as the By Pass of Fier”, said Balluku.
