More than 25 percent of Albanians (26.9%) feel unsafe in their own homes, whereas 1 in 3 (33%) share a feeling of unsafety in their home cities and villages as well.
Around 37% feel a general sense of unsafety when traveling from one city or village to another.
These findings were extracted from a poll conducted by Euronews Albania’s weekly Barometer, asking Albanian citizens about their relationship with safety.

Compared to a year ago, the majority of citizens (54.6%) don’t feel that there have been any particular changes to the way they feel about their personal safety. Around 28% of citizens report that they feel safer than a year ago, whereas 17% feel less safe.
Euronews Albania’s poll in collaboration with MRB and Data Centrum included 1.000 in-person interviews conducted at a national level during a timespan ranging from November 20-30, 2021.
