On a scale of very good to very bad, 44.2% of Albanians rated 2021 ‘not good but not so bad either’. 1 in 3 citizens thought 2021 was a good year even though 1 in 4 Albanians thought 2021 wasn’t a good year for them.
Findings of the Barometer Poll on Euronews Albania showed that when it comes to the expectations held by Albanian citizens in 2021, the ones who felt that last year was a good year for them were predominantly Socialist voters (50.8%).
Neutral voters were the most not content with last year (50%), followed by Democrats (47.5%) and lastly Socialists (41.4%).
When it comes to family relations, 2021 was a good year for most Albanians (94.4%), and the same went for their interpersonal relations (85.4%) and work relations (85%).
The situation is way different when it comes to the economy. 1/3 of Albanians (36.4%) said that they had a bad year when it came to their finances. 42% said they are neutral – neither good nor bad – and 21.6% said 2021 was a bad year for them when it came to their personal finances.
In regards to their health, 63% of citizens rate 2021 as a good year and only 1 in 10 Albanians (10.3%) said this was a bad year for their physical health.
This Barometer poll was conducted by MRB and DataCentrum – from November 20 to 30, 2021 – through a total of 1.000 in-person interviews in Albanian households.
