The leader of the Democratic Party Lulzim Basha claimed on Sunday that SP’s candidate in Durres is the person who signed the €10 million tender for the waste incinerator in the area.
“The current candidate for the municipality of Durres, Emirjana Sako, signed the €10 million gift to the incinerator company in Tirana, a tender given to a company that took €430 million out of the pockets of the Albanian people”, said Basha at a press conference.
“10 million euros and Durres is still full of garbage”, he added.
Basha said that although €35 million were paid for the incinerator in the capital, construction work is not even near its completion.
“430 million euros granted to incinerators that don’t even exist. Is a government able to carry out 17 procedures in a single day without the approval of the prime minister as it was the case for the incinerator of Elbasan on December 16”, Basha said.
Basha underlined that a ground analysis conducted by an Inquiry Commission determined that nothing had been done for the Fier incinerator, although 28 million had already been paid for it.
“Lefter Koka is the tip of the tail of the incinerator affair. There are no laws or procedures for the Elbasan incinerator”, said DP’s leader.
Basha called on SPAK to proceed with its investigation.
“Take action without losing more time to stop the robbery of the Albanian people’s money. SPAK must use all means to stop a single dime from going to criminal gangs. The people responsible should be arrested”, he concluded.
