The leader of the Democratic Party Lulzim Basha visited Dibra where he was met with a crowd of supporters and heads of the party’s branches in line with a reshuffling process taking place on January 16.

Basha said the day will be decisive for the Democratic Party and that the Assembly confirmed the will of the people to look into the future.

“Unfortunately, by putting personal interests above those of the Democrats and the Albanian people, the situation caused by him (referring to former PM Sali Berisha) in the past 3 months is exactly leading to this. There is no greater luxury for Edi Rama when instead of launching a fully-fledged battle against him, Democrats have turned against each other. I have picked September 9 as the day that we’ll separate the past from the future”, declared Basha.

Meanwhile, Berisha was today in Vlora to celebrate the 31-year anniversary of the establishment of the Democratic Party in this municipality where he declared that Democrats have voiced their decision to remove Basha.

“We built the DP as the real opposition, as a political force that believes in the Albanian people”, said Berisha.
