The Secretary for Digital Organization at the Democratic Party, Endri Hasa, and Çlirim Gjata, a member of the National Council traded accusations on “Good Morning” over the recent developments at the DP.
Hasa declared that the Democratic Party is getting ready for the National Council called by Basha on December 18 and that all other activities from the other camp are holding the party as a hostage.
“DP has been in a difficult situation for the past 3 months, a situation that has been imposed by Sali Berisha’s because he had a problem, but not with the DP, nor with Basha, but with the United States for declaring him non-grata. What is happening is a process that is holding the DP captive”, Hasa said, adding that the DP must look ahead to the future.
But according to Gjata, there should be no other assembly, adding that the whole reason why it was held on December 11 was to avoid the party from being dismantled.
In terms of Berisha’s non grata, Gjata maintained that the former primer has kept the issue “entirely personal”.
To him, the situation escalated to this point because Basha was no longer behaving as the opposition but started collaborating with Rama, adding that the two are sealing new deals on amending the constitution.
“Berisha’s departure was the culmination point. Since when does the DP have the luxury to ban its own people? The DP will not be torn, especially after December 11. We were waiting on him to launch an aggressive opposition against Rama. 500 delegates sacked Basha”, Gjata said.
