During a press statement made today, DP leader Lulzim Basha said that Flamur Noka’s dismissal from his position as deputy chair of the party’s commission, along with the cautionary warning that could risk his ousting from the party’s parliamentary group came as a result of “the lying and slandering of none other than the common enemy of the Democrats, Edi Rama”.
Basha threw several jabs at those who according to him are looking to turn the Democratic Party into a bunker of their own personal interests, something which the DP leader said: “will absolutely not be tolerated”.
In addition, Basha referred to the time the country was ruled by the Democratic Party, admitting that even back then, there was a presence of corrupt individuals, who are now, according to Basha, serving PM Edi Rama and working against the Democrats.
“Was there scum at the time DP was in power? Yes, and some have been cleaned away but some continue to hold tight; individuals who have signed contracts with incinerators, who have dug up holes to launder their money, who have been coerced.
Whoever thinks they’ll be able to turn DP into a bunker for their own personal interests or have us shift our Euro-Atlantic orientation, are nothing but the corrupt remnants of our former administration, some of whom we have washed off and some who still remain and Democrats know who they are and they know about their dealings with Edi Rama. I won’t allow anything or anyone to step on the interests of Democrats,” – said Basha at the end of his statement.
