“The interests of the Democrats are more sacred than anything or anyone else. The shadows of the past must not trouble you”.
These were the opening remarks of Lulzim Basha from the party’s headquarters as he inaugurated a placate containing the signatures of the founding fathers of the Democratic Party of Albania.
Basha underlined that the cult of the individual toppled in February 2020 will not resurrect in any form.
“I want to address the disappointed, upset, and desperate Democrats. I know your despair from Tropoja to Saranda, from Malësia e Madhe to Dibër, Ersekë, Kolonjë and Gjirokastër. We also met when you voted for me, not for a chair, nor for a third term, but to lead the fight to overthrow a government that has nothing to do with democracy and free voting “, said Basha.
He also emphasized that Democrats will pursue their battle till victory.
“We will decide the fate of a European Albania”, said the leader of the Democrats.
