The leader of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, was in Berat today where he met with supporters. Basha promised that he will make the “Southern Axe” a priority during his governance, adding that the government has forgotten about this part of the country.
“Without a question that the axis starting from Hani i Hotit to Përmet, including the bridge projected by us, will be a priority of the upcoming government’s infrastructural investments. We will bring an end to the misuse of funds through corruptive affairs and facades torn out by the first rainfall”
Furthermore, Basha visited an olive farm and emphasized that DP’s program will offer €100 million in subsidies on a production basis aiming to pull agriculture out of the crisis.
“The first and main aim of our program is direct support for farmers and you know that we’ve been declared this as our priority since 4-5 years ago”, said Basha.
The leader of the Democrats also stopped at several handmade workshops where he said that it is a “pity” that a city like Berat suffers from a lack of tourism.
