President Ilir Meta has opened fire against at the opposition leader, Lulzim Basha. Meta declared that 2 years ago, Basha had asked him to intervene and call off the protest of June 8, which was the last protest that Basha organized at the time, representing a series of rallies against the June 30 elections.
In addition, the president said that Basha didn’t agree to become a part of the elections on October 13, 2019, which would in turn favor Edi Rama in his journey towards the top.
“Basha supported the head of the Renaissance, in his capture of 100% of the local government,” – claimed Meta.
The president’s declarations have prompted the quick reaction of the Democratic Party, which wrote what Meta’s goal is to divide DP, through the spread of misinformation.
