On Wednesday, Sali Berisha warned that he will be forming a new political party, said analyst Baton Haxhiu on tonight’s Shock.

According to Haxhiu, Berisha’s speech from the capital has split the Democratic Party in two.

“Today the Democratic Party was split up in two parts, and it was warned that a new party would be formed”, he said.

The analyst said that Berisha’s rhetoric does not contain any “significant essence”, however, he suggested that the nationwide tours “have mobilized a lot of people”.

“The signatures shaped the form, then the form gave life to the crowd, and the crowd to the new political party”, Haxhiu said.

Berisha, who is also one of the founders of the Democratic Party, submitted a document containing the signatures of 4,200 delegates – the necessary threshold to call the National Assembly.
