The energy situation today is not good.

This was a statement made by Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku during an interview on Euronews Albania during which, she recalled that since the beginning of October there has been no rainfall and that this directly results in the evaporation of the cascade.

“It should be kept in mind that today the cascade is at a level of 269 meters, which is not a good figure when compared to the historical levels of this month. However, we still have hope and based on all the data currently at hand, during the month of November there will definitely be a better situation with the water level,” said Balluku.

However, the deputy prime minister indicated that there was a 5% decrease in consumption in the country compared to a year ago.

According to her, this is not a random decrease and it is about citizen awareness. So, even though the weather conditions were not favorable, Albanians knew how to properly manage the energy situation.
