Former Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, commented in a statement to the media outside the assembly, the OSCE-ODIHR report on the May 14 elections, which according to him proved the fact that the free vote was manipulated.

Berisha warned of sustained protests with the aim of removing Edi Rama’s government and guaranteeing the freedom of voting as a fundamental right.

“The OSCE report finds that unconstitutional and illegal means were used to control the vote, which violated the Electoral Code, international standards of free elections. The elections were controlled by the administration. For the 600,000 Albanian idealists who refused at all costs the deformation of their will, let’s prepare for strong and lasting protests to remove this regime. Democratic Party remains determined to lead Albanians towards an effort to vote freely”, said Berisha.
