Former PM Sali Berisha declared on Saturday that the Democratic Party was reborn at the Assembly that took place on 11 December 2021.
During his word at the National Assembly, Berisha said the Democratic Party is immortal and described it as a political force that lives on its principles.
“The Democratic Party was reborn at the historic Assembly of 11 December 2021. This party never dies. It lives and will live with the utmost honorable principles of the Albanian people. You re-established it because you wanted to erase from the face of the earth the regime that has laid its foundations on crime, drugs, and hatred towards Albanians”, Berisha said.
Berisha also emphasized that now Democrats will have the freedom to vote for whomever they wish and thanked attendees for their contribution to bringing the party back on its feet.
