Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha asked the Albanian community in Turkey to not be influenced by PM Rama’s message in support of Erdoğan in the upcoming presidential elections.
“I’m here to publicly denounce the scandalous intervention of Edi Rama in the electoral campaign of our friend country, Turkey. In a long message, which aims to address the large Albanian community in Turkey, Edi Rama, a true enemy of the free vote, in flagrant violation of the country’s and international laws, asks Albanians and Turkish citizens to vote for the outgoing current president. On this occasion, condemning this unforgivable and impermissible intervention of a man who does not respect any law and any norm, national or international, I remind the Albanian community in Turkey, that the man who told them who they should vote for, is a true enemy of the freedoms of Albanian citizens, of their vote, of their assets, of the laws of the country,” declared Berisha.
