The provisional committee headed by former premier Sali Berisha sued former Socialist MP Spartak Braho for defamation at SPAK.
The lawsuit is over Braho’s warning that a Democrat MP, namely Enkelejd Alibeaj, was going to get shot at the protest organized by Berisha.
The former prime minister said on Now with Erla Mehilli that the warning was actually blackmailing.
According to Berisha, the entire situation was created by PM Edi Rama to get a hold of the majority at the Constitutional Court.
That is because Democrat MP Enkelejd Alibeaj is married to Constitutional Court judge Marsida Xhaferllari, with Berisha arguing that Rama needs her vote to impeach President Ilir Meta.
